Snoopy is probably the most iconic and famous Beagle in the world. He first debuted on October 4, 1950, and his original drawings were inspired by one of Charles M. Schulz’s own dogs, Spike.

Snoopy first started as a small dog that got adopted by Charlie Brown, but he’s now more famous than his owner in some parts of the world. He has a rich imagination, and many comic strip stories revolve around his fantasies and imaginary adventures.


2. Shiloh

Shiloh is a famous character in the Newbery Medal-winning novel, Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. This book was inspired by true events when Naylor had run into an abused Beagle during a trip to West Virginia. Fortunately, both Shiloh and the real Beagle were met with happy endings with new families.
