When I received my Pet Medic Med Pack, I was impressed with just how much was included in it. It’s a relatively small package, but it contains just about every first-aid essential for dogs. It had gauzes of different sizes, a self-adhering bandage roll, and several different sanitizing and antibacterial supplies.
As someone new to pet first-aid, I found the included Pet First-Aid Guide to be extremely helpful. The guide was easy to follow and provided helpful tips for first-aid care for many kinds of emergencies, such as allergic reactions, ingesting a toxic substance, bite wounds, burns, trauma, and bloat. The guide also lets you know what supplies to use for each emergency.
Fortunately, I’ve yet to have any emergency situations to use the first-aid supplies. However, I still tested out the gauze and bandages with Nora and found them to be very durable and capable of maintaining a secure fit.
I was satisfied with the Pet Medic Med Pack overall. If I must be nit-picky, I’d say that the original packaging doesn’t have any organization features, so it can take some time to find and fish out the items you need. However, this can be resolved easily by transferring the items to a proper first-aid bag that has sleeves and compartments that’ll keep your supplies organized.
Also, if I had to add any additional items to this med pack, I would include a tick remover tool. The Pet Medic Med Pack does include a pair of tweezers, but it can be more difficult to get a clean tick removal with tweezers. So, I just included my own tick remover tool in my med pack.
