Our Experience With Omlet Automatic Chicken Coop Door
When my husband and I moved out to the Ohio countryside, we automatically knew we wanted chickens. The property we purchased came with two outdoor sheds, so we wanted to convert those to unconventional coops. We had to cut small doorways to make doors for our birds. At first, we just had a simple plank of wood as a door that we would have to open and close every morning manually.

Any time the temperature dropped below 50°F, the gears would jam and the doors wouldn’t open or close. So, I found myself going out there every morning and night, which completely defeated the purpose of that purchase. Also, coyotes, raccoons, and opossums are the top predators in our area.
