The lid swivels open for easy cleaning, and it’s designed in such a way that any litter on top of the lid will fall back into the box rather than on your carpet.

The box is made to accommodate reusable liners, which are tear-resistant and capable of lasting up to 3 months. Replacing them will give you an additional expense, of course, but it also ensures that your cats will always have the cleanest possible bathroom to use.

It comes with a scoop, but the only place to attach it is outside the box. This defeats the purpose of some of the anti-tracking measures used elsewhere, as litter will simply fall off the scoop onto your floor.
